General Data Processing & Legal Bases

We process personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act (TDDDG). We process data based on:

• Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR: Your explicit consent (e.g., for web analytics if you visit from Europe).
• Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR: Performance of a contract (e.g., providing the ManageRunners service).
• Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: Our legitimate interest in providing a secure and fast website and, for visitors from outside Europe, in understanding how it is used.

Global Data Transfers (Vietnam)

As Detech Digital is based in Hanoi, Vietnam, your data may be accessed by our administrators and consultants in Vietnam for the purpose of technical support and service delivery.

Vietnam is considered a "third country" under the GDPR. To ensure a high level of data protection, we use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission as safeguards for these transfers.

Security & CDN (Cloudflare)

To protect our website and speed up delivery, we use services provided by Cloudflare, Inc.

• Purpose: Protection against DDoS attacks, bot detection, and content delivery.
• Data processed: Your IP address and technical metadata.
• Legal Basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Legitimate Interest).
• Safeguard: Data may be processed in the US; Cloudflare operates under a DPA including SCCs.

Web Analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., which acts as our processor.

• Purpose: Understanding how our website is used through aggregated visit metrics such as page URL, referrer, browser and device type, and page-load performance.
• No cookies: Cloudflare Web Analytics does not set cookies or use local storage. Your IP address is processed to transmit the data.
• Visitors from Europe: We only load the service if you give your consent via our banner. Legal Basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG.
• Visitors from other regions: The service is loaded without a banner. Legal Basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Legitimate Interest in understanding how our website is used). Cloudflare determines your region from your IP address.
• Safeguard: Cloudflare operates under a DPA including SCCs and is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
• Your choice: We store your choice in your browser's local storage (cookie_consent), which is strictly necessary to respect it on later visits. You can withdraw your consent or change your choice at any time via "Privacy settings" in the footer.
